Elke Fank

Elke Fank , b. Hinnrichs, (born August 15, 1934 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Elke Fank is studied Diploma - Business Administration . She was the managing director of a carrier for facilities for the disabled. From 1974 to 1979 she was a deputy of the health authority. After her parliamentary career, she became deputy chairwoman of the Reichsbund . She is widow of Gerhard Fank , the son of Max Fank and has a daughter Kirsten (* 1964).

At the age of 18, Fank joined the SPD. She was, among other things, cashier, assessor in the district and district board, and deputy chairwoman of the Hamburg-Bergedorf district . She was chairman of the “ Working Group of Social Democratic Women ” (AsF) in Bergedorf and a member of the AsF's state board.

Fank had been a member of the Hamburg citizenship since October 1, 1979, when she was the next candidate to exercise the dormant senatorial mandate. Even after the June 1982 election she was the next candidate for a senator before she was able to win a regular seat in the December 1982 election. In the citizenry, she sat for her group in the health committee and in the women's, school and health committee. She was also a member of the “Drugs and Addiction” commission of inquiry. She deliberately did not run for citizenship again in 1993 because she was of the opinion that such a post should not be held for too long.
