Ella Junnila (born  December 6, 1998 ) is a Finnish athlete who specializes in the high jump .

Career

Ella Junnila took part in a major international competition for the first time in 2017 at the European Athletics U20 Championships in Grosseto, Italy , but she was eliminated from the qualification with 1.77 m.

Also next year at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin , Junnila 1.86 m was not enough to qualify for the final.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2019 in Glasgow , Scotland, Junnila failed again with 1.85 m in qualification to assert herself against her opponents. Only months later, Junnila helped 1.92 m at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Gävle, Sweden, finally to bronze and her first podium, before she was celebrated as Finnish champion about two weeks later in Lappeenranta with a jumped 1.86 m. Shortly afterwards, Junnila was clearly inferior at the World Athletics Championships in Qatar's capital Doha , where her participation ended with 1.80 m in the preliminary round.
