Communities Marienheide

The Ellbach is an approx. 600 m long left tributary of the Wupper , which is called Wipper here in the upper reaches. The stream rises 373 m above sea level on the western flank of the Ellberg north of the Marienheider district of Reppinghausen . It flows in the valley between the Ellberg and the Kahlenberg in a northerly direction, crosses under the Hagen – Dieringhausen railway line and takes on an unnamed inflow from the right.

At Singern the Ellbach flows into the Wupper at an altitude of 333 m.
