Ellen Roggenbuck

Ellen Roggenbuck (born February 21, 1956 in Hanover ) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 2002 to 2020 .

After completing her legal training, she joined the higher judicial service in Lower Saxony in 1981 . After three years as a trial reporter at the Hildesheim Regional Court , the Rinteln District Court and the Bückeburg Public Prosecutor , she was appointed judge at the Hildesheim Regional Court in April 1984. From November 1990 to September 1993 she was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant . In September 1993 she was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court in Celle .

On November 5, 2002, Roggenbuck was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and assigned to the 2nd criminal division there. In 2011 she moved to the 4th Criminal Senate , to which she is still a member. In addition, she has been a member of the Senate for Legal Matters since 2008 and has been the representative of the Lawyers' Senate in the Grand Senates and in the Joint Senate of the Federal Supreme Courts since 2011 . At the end of June 30, 2020, Roggenbuck retired.
