Ellen Schneider-Lenné

Ellen Ruth Schneider-Lenné (born May 28, 1942 in Berlin ; † December 25, 1996 in Königstein im Taunus ) was a German bank manager. From 1988 to 1996 she was a member of the board of directors of Deutsche Bank , where she oversaw international business and credit risk management. She was the first woman on the board of a major German bank.

After graduating from high school, Schneider-Lenné studied business administration in Munich and Cologne (diploma 1967). She then joined Deutsche Bank in Düsseldorf as a clerk in the lending business. In 1969 she was given power of attorney . In 1971 she was posted to New York. From 1973 to 1975 she was a personal assistant to the then CEO Franz Heinrich Ulrich .
