Ellersell (Bülstringen)
Ellersell is a residential area in the municipality of Bülstringen .
location
The village is located about six kilometers south of Calvörde and one kilometer south of Wieglitz in the Börde district , Saxony-Anhalt . The Calvörder Forest as well as the Calvörder Mountains and the Rabenberg extend to the west . The place is on the Mittelland Canal and on the road 25 that connects Bülstringen with Calvörde.
history
The first documentary mention was made in 1197. The name could be derived from Sol meaning swamp. In 1298 Ellersell was given to the Althaldensleben monastery . The place is called desolate in the late Middle Ages . Politically, the Ellersell belonged to the former municipality of Wieglitz until December 31, 2009. By incorporating the community of Wieglitz into Bülstringen on January 1, 2010, the place is a residential area of Bülstringen.
