The Rabenberg is 145.9  m above sea level. NHN the highest point in the Calvör Mountains . It is located in the municipal areas of Bülstringen and Calvörde in the Saxony-Anhalt district of Börde .

The Rabenberg is located in the south of the Calvörder Mountains in the Calvörder Forest . It is located on the north-western border of the municipality of Bülstringen to the south of the municipality of Calvörde to the west, between Wieglitz (to Bülstringen) in the east-northeast and Flechtingen train station (to the municipality of Flechtingen) in the west. To the south-southeast lies the Mittelberg ( 145.5  m ) and north-northwest the Cloridenberg ( 124.6  m ). To the east runs the Landesstraße  24 (Calvörde – Wieglitz – Bülstringen) and to the west the L 25 (Calvörde – Flechtingen-Bahnhof – Flechtingen) and the WolfsburgMagdeburg railway line . The extensive forest area of Grieps extends to the north .

The Rabenberg belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Weser-Aller-Flachland (No. 62), in the main unit East Brunswick Plain (624) and in the sub-unit Obisfelder-Calvörde terminal moraine plates (624.5) to the natural area Calvörn Hügelland (624.53).

Description and history

In the area of ​​the Rabenberg lies the Calvörde forest with pine forest. Not far from the mountain, boundary stones can still be found today, which are evidence of the time when Calvörde belonged to the Free State of Braunschweig . To the north, roughly in the direction of the Cloridenberg, is the almost dried up stream Klare Grete . Not far from there was once the now deserted village of Käsdorf . The predecessor of the Calvörde fire watch tower , which is now located on the nearby Mittelberg, used to stand on the Rabenberg .
