Elliniko ( Greek Ελληνικό Αργολίδας ) is a Greek place and a local community in the Argolis .

The place Elliniko

The place is about 160 m above sea level at the foot of Mount Artemisio about 2 km west of Kefalari . It used to be thought of as ancient Kenchreai . Today, however, it is believed that this place was about 3.5 km southeast of the place Skafidaki . At the eastern entrance to the village next to the church of Agia Triada is the pyramid of Hellinikon , a building from the 4th century BC. Chr.

The local community of Elliniko

Until 1997, the local community Elliniko formed an independent rural community of the same name. 1997 with the Kallikratis reform , the rural community was downgraded to a local community within the municipality of Argos. The local community is also called Kryoneri.
