Elliott Shriane (born April 27, 1987 in Brisbane ) is an Australian short tracker .

Shriane's first major international event was the 2003 Junior World Championships in Budapest , where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of every race at the latest. Even a year later, he failed to make this round in Beijing . Nevertheless, he was nominated for the first time for the Short Track World Cup in February 2004 , where the relay even made it to the semi-finals. In the semifinals, however, the competition was ended by a disqualification. In the other World Cups in the 2003/04 and 2004/05 seasons, Shriane failed more often in the relay only in the semi-finals, but earlier in individual competitions. With a fifth place with the team at the World Cup in November 2005 in Bormio , Shriane secured the ticket for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin as a relay member . Together with Lachlan Hay , Stephen Lee and Mark McNee , he beat the German team in the B-final at the Olympics and thus placed sixth.

After consistently good results in the 2006/07 World Cup over 500 meters, Shriane achieved ninth place in the World Cup over this distance at the end of the season. With the relay he achieved sixth place in Heerenveen in the absence of several top nations , and on the short-haul route he achieved a convincing 15th place as the best result, right at the start of the season in Changchun, China . One World Cup winter he did not defend these good placings, instead a 26th place, which he achieved twice for this, remained his top result. The Australian relay did not start at all in the 2007/08 season, nor did the 2008/09 Short Track World Cup . This season, Shriane surprisingly achieved his first result among the top ten athletes in Beijing, a tenth place over 500 meters in Beijing. He also achieved his second-best result to date on the 1000-meter course with a 14th place.

In addition to the international successes, Shriane was also runner-up in the Australian Short Track Championship for adults.
