Ernst Elmar Geirsson (born July 25, 1948 in Reykjavík ) is a former Icelandic football player .

He first played for Fram Reykjavík from 1965 to 1970 . In the 1971/72 season he played 19 games for Hertha Zehlendorf in the Berlin Regionalliga and scored twice. In 1974 he returned to Iceland to Fram Reykjavík and was used in seven games he Iceland First League (four goals). He continued this interplay between the Berlin club and his Icelandic club in the following years until he joined Trier Eintracht in the Rhineland Association League for the 1975/76 season. In the following season he then played ten games for the Moselaner in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored one goal. In 1978 he went back to his homeland and played there with KA Akureyri until 1982 .

National team

From 1967 to 1980 he was 23 times for the Icelandic national team on the field and scored a total of two goals.
