Elmar Romanesen (born April 21, 1978 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German handball player and coach .

Career

Romanese began playing handball at TSV 1874 Kottern and became a youth national team. In the A-youth he played at TSV Herrsching and first moved to the second division club Frisch Auf Göppingen , then to the regional division TSV Bad Saulgau. In the summer of 2000 he went to Bundesliga club TSV GWD Minden , where he was rarely used. After a year the contract was terminated and he switched to league competitor ThSV Eisenach . In 2003 he moved to Switzerland to the Grasshopper Club Zurich . After only six months, the Romansh was awarded to the RTV 1879 Basel and at the end of the season the contract, which had actually been dated until 2005, was terminated. He moved to TSG Söflingen, with whom he was promoted to the regional league. In 2006 he joined the TuS Fürstenfeldbruck , which he left in November for HSC Bad Neustadt . After that he had to take a break due to an injury and only started playing handball again at TV Memmingen in October 2010. This was followed by TV Immenstadt, TSV Ottobeuren and his home club SG Kempten-Kottern, which has now formed a game community. Since 2015 he has been active there as a playing assistant coach. He ended his playing career at the end of April 2018 and has been the coach since May 2018.
