Elrad - magazine for electronics and technical computer applications - was a popular trade magazine for electronics in the professional and hobby area . It was published from November 1977 to August 1998.

history

Elrad was published by Heise Zeitschriften Verlag from November 1977 to June 1997 . The magazine c't emerged from Elrad in 1983 and initially appeared as a supplement to Elrad under the title computing today .

In 1992 the magazine Der Elektroniker had already gone up in Elrad.

In mid-1997 the title was sold to Bruchmann Verlag GmbH. Under the new roof, delivery of the first new edition was initially delayed and the quality of the content also deteriorated. Bruchmann Verlag was only able to continue running the magazine until August 1998 and then had to file for bankruptcy.

Heise-Verlag holds the domain elrad.de and, since 2001, has also had a brand entry "ELRAD magazine for electronics and technical computer applications".

At the end of 2005, two DVDs with the contents of issues 11 / 1977–06 / 1997 and numerous special issues were published.
