Else von Ruttersheim

Else von Ruttersheim (also Else Polz von Ruttersheim , Else Schroth ; born March 29, 1880 in Vienna , † 1962 in Italy) was an Austrian actress .

Live and act

Else von Ruttersheim, daughter of an Austro-Hungarian general, took singing and acting lessons in Vienna as a young girl. In 1897 she was engaged by an amateur stage at the Prague State Theater. After two years there followed guest performances in Käthchen von Heilbronn , Der Königsleutnant and Die Geschwister and a move to the Hoftheater Hannover , to which she remained loyal until 1902. She later worked at the Vienna Citizens' Theater (the year 1908 is documented here). During this time she also appeared as a silent film actress .

Else von Ruttersheim was the sister of the soprano Gisela von Ruttersheim and the second wife of the actor Heinrich Schroth . The actor Carl-Heinz Schroth came from this marriage .
