Else Stock-Hug

Else Stock-Hug (born April 28, 1920 in Frankfurt am Main ; † October 19, 2012 ) was a pianist.

Stock-Hug studied at the Frankfurt University of Music and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She also studied German and musicology at the University of Frankfurt . From 1950 she performed as a pianist. Premieres and premieres of 20th century piano music played a particularly important role in her artistic work.

She was a lecturer at the international summer music courses in Darmstadt and guest lecturer at the University of Music in Munich.

In 1973 Stock-Hug was awarded the Schwabing Art Prize.
