The Elsebach is a 6 km long orographically left tributary of the Ruhr in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

geography

The stream is created by the confluence of the 4.0 km long Lollenbach (GKZ: 276562) and the 4.3 km long Reingser Bach (GKZ: 27656) at 157  m above sea level. NN . The stream initially flows in a north-westerly direction, after about two kilometers turns its course to the west. The Elsebach flows around Ergste in the north and Villigst in the south-west, before reaching the Wandhofen on the other side of the Ruhr at 102  m above sea level. NN flows into the Ruhr .

The creek overcomes a height difference of 55 m on its 6 km long path, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 9.2 ‰. It drains a 17.597 km² catchment area over the Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .

The Elsebach gives the Elsebad its name. This voluntarily operated swimming pool in Ergste was fed with water by the Elsebach.
