Elsebeth Egholm

Elsebeth Egholm (born September 17, 1960 in Nyborg , Denmark ) is a Danish journalist and writer . She is best known as the author of six crime novels about the journalist Dicte Svendsen, filmed as a television series under the title Dicte .

Growing up in Lisbjerg in Aarhus Municipality , she studied musicology in Aarhus . From 1989 she worked as an editor for the daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende , from 1992 as a freelance journalist and columnist. Her first novel was published in Denmark in 1999.

Egholm was married to the British writer AJ Quinnell (1940-2005). She lives in Aarhus and Gozo .
