Elter Water is a small lake in the Lake District in Cumbria , England . The lake is southeast of the village of Elterwater in the Great Langdale Valley.
The lake is 930 m long and a maximum of 320 m wide and a maximum of 6 m deep. It has an area of 0.15 km².
The River Brathay and the Great Langdale Beck are the tributaries of the lake. The Brathay is its only drain.
