Caspar von Corswant

Caspar von Corswant , ennobled in 1698 (* August 20, 1634 in Miltzow ; † August 21, 1708 ), was a Brandenburg-Prussian government and court judge in Western Pomerania .

Life

Caspar Corswant, son of Greifswald alderman, studied in Wittenberg , Greifswald , Tuebingen and finally in Frankfurt (Oder) , where he in 1662 to Dr. iur. received his doctorate. He became town counsel in Greifswald in 1663 and in Stettin in 1672 , then still in Swedish Pomerania . After the transition from Stettin to Brandenburg , he was appointed to the electoral Brandenburg government and court judge in Western Pomerania in 1679.

In 1698, he and his brother Christoph , mayor of Greifswald, were raised to hereditary nobility by Emperor Leopold I.

In 1707 he said goodbye for health reasons and died the following year.
