Elvira Neustädtl is an Austrian actress .

Life

Neustädtl was originally a dancer . She interrupted her career after marrying and starting a family . After the end of her family break, Neustädtl passed the acting examination . Neustädtl worked as a supporting actress in movies and on television . In addition, she was employed as a photo model for the 50+ generation for advertising and promotional photos.

In 1978, she played the role of a female kapo in the Auschwitz concentration camp in the US miniseries Holocaust - The Story of the White Family . In 1986 she played the role of Kreszenz in the multi-part series Mino - A Boy Between the Fronts , a film adaptation of the Italian anti-war novel Il Piccolo Alpine , directed by Gianfranco Albano .

Since the late 1970s, she was also regularly seen in small roles in Austrian television series . In 1992 she had a guest role in the ORF series Die Donauprinzessin . In 1994 she starred in the Austrian homeland film A Broken Time .

Neustädtl also repeatedly worked as a theater actress . In 1972 she appeared at the Vienna Theater der Courage in the play Wildwechsel by Franz Xaver Kroetz ; the performance was also recorded for television by Austrian radio . In the 1993/1994 season at Ensemble Theater Wien she played the allegorical figure of the Elbe in Wolfgang Borchert's post-war drama Outside in front of the door in a production by Dieter Haspel . On stage in Vienna she played together with Alfred Reiterer, among others .
