Elyes Cherif Gabel (born May 8, 1983 in London , England , Great Britain) is a British actor .

Life

Gabel is of Algerian descent. He lived in Canada for some time before returning to England. He attended St. Damian's RC Science College at Ashton-Under-Lyne .

First he appeared in various plays. From 2001 to 2007 he played a leading role in the television series Casuality . He then played supporting roles in various series such as Identity and Borgia . In Game of Thrones , Gabel was seen in seven episodes as Rakharo, a rider of the Dothraki. In 2013, he had a leading role as Detective Adam Lucas in the third season of the crime series Body of Proof . From 2013 movies were added, so he played in World War Z and Interstellar . From 2014 to 2018, Gabel played the lead role of Walter O'Brien in the television series Scorpion .
