action

London police officer Max Lewinsky is shot and seriously wounded in the leg by gangster Jacob Sternwood during a chase. Three years later, Lewinsky is still struggling with the consequences of the injury. When Sternwood's son Ruan is found at London Airport with a gunshot wound in his stomach, Lewinsky sees a chance to catch Sternwood, who is returning to London from his hiding place in Iceland to visit his son in the hospital.

While Lewinsky is chasing Sternwood, his colleague Sarah Hawks pursues ex-soldier Dean Warns, who is suspected of having shot Ruan Sternwood, to a container storage facility. There she is caught by Warns when she breaks into a container filled with weapons. Warns kills her and brings her body to Lewinsky's apartment.

Jacob Sternwood surprises two intruders in his son's hotel room who are looking for hidden money. In a wild shootout, he kills one of the two, the other escapes. It turns out that the dead person is Harvey Crown, a cop. The other burglar was Nathan Bartnick, also a police officer and a colleague of Lewinsky. Sternwood calls Bartnick and arranges to meet him at a nightclub.

Lewinsky, who found out that Bartnick was involved in the shooting at the hotel, talks about it with his supervisor Geiger, who then tells him that he has tapped Bartnick's phone. He names Lewinsky the place where Bartnick and Sternwood met and instructs him to watch them.

The meeting at the nightclub turns out to be a trap for Bartnick and Warns, who are doing it together. Sternwood shoots Bartnick and flees with Lewinsky, whom he rescues from a shootout with Warns. He forces Lewinsky to take him to the morgue with his dead son. There Lewinsky sees a note on the hand of Sarah, who has since been found, which puts him on the trail of the container warehouse. He realizes that Geiger, Bartnick, Crown and Warns are involved in criminal machinations. Together with Sternwood, he overpowers Warns and forces him to order Geiger to the container warehouse, where the two of them set a trap for him.

Geiger admits that Ruan Sternwood was the victim of a conspiracy. He was supposed to buy weapons from Warns and then be arrested by the police in a publicly effective manner. As a result, the politician and industrialist Kincade should get a major contract to equip the police with weapons. However, Ruan had an accomplice with him, who recognized the Crown present at the meeting as a police officer, whereupon things got out of hand and Warns shot Ruan and the accomplice.

In the end, after the violinist shot dead, Lewinsky lets Sternwood escape instead of arresting him.
