Chris Gill

Chris Gill (* in the 20th century) is a British film editor who has been responsible for editing around 90 productions in his 30-year film and television career . Including classics of modern British cinema such as 28 Days Later , Sunshine , 28 Weeks Later , Reunion with Brideshead or The Guard - An Irishman sees black .

life and career

Chris Gill began working as an editor for British television in 1982. For the first 20 years he was responsible for episodes of well-known series such as Sherlock Holmes , For All Cases Fitz , Grafters or Glasgow Kiss , but also a few television miniseries and several television films. He won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Editing for Touching Evil and Crime and Punishment .

In 2002 director Danny Boyle entrusted him with editing the lavish cinema production 28 Days Later . Gill then worked for two more films for Danny Boyle, in 2004 for the production Millions and in 2007 for the science fiction drama Sunshine . In 2011, he received the Satellite Award in the Best Editing category for the crime film The Guard by director John Michael McDonagh .

Since the early 2000s he has worked as an editor with directors Steve Barker , Julian Jarrold , Aisling Walsh, Philip Ridley , Neil Marshall , Kasper Barfoed, John Madden and Adrian Noble , among others .
