Daniel Kaluuya
Daniel Kaluuya (born February 24, 1989 in London , England ) is a British actor , comedian and author . He was best known as Kenneth in the British television series Skins . 2018 he was for his role as Chris Washington in the horror film Get Out for Oscar nomination.
Life
Daniel Kaluuya was born to Ugandan immigrants in London, where he later attended St. Aloysius College. He played his early roles in the BBC drama Shoot the Messenger . He later became a member of the original line-up of Skins , in which he played Posh Kenneth .
Kaluuya has appeared as a guest star on many established series such as B. Silent Witness , Doctor Who and Planet of the Dead . In 2010 he starred in Roy Williams Sucker Punch at the Royal Court Theater in London and received the Evening Standard Award and the Jack Tinker Award for Outstanding Newcomer at the Critics' Circle Theater Awards .
In 2017 he played a leading role in the American horror thriller Get Out by Jordan Peele , for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar . 2018's Marvel - superhero film Black Panther appeared, the role of in the Kaluuya W'Kabi embodies.
At the end of June 2018, Kaluuya became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .
