Ema Tōyama

Ema Tōyama ( Japanese 遠山 え ま , Tōyama Ema ; born May 23, 1981 in Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist . She is the niece of the mangaka Hikaru Tōyama .

She made her debut in September 2003 in the monthly manga magazine Nakayoshi with the story Tenshi no Tamago . Her first manga series Gokkun! Pūcho also ran in the Nakayoshi. In the United States, the story was licensed from Tokyopop under the name Pixie Pop . Almost all of her works were published by the Japanese publisher Kodansha .

Her works At your side , GDGD Dogs , Kami Kami Kaeshi , Mama Colle , Pocha Pocha Swimming Club , xx me! and since 2016 Love Hotel Princess have been published by Egmont Manga in German. Since October 2018 the publisher has been bringing out the Tell me your Secrets! out in German .

Award

For Watashi ni ×haben Shinasai! ( xx me!, dt. xx me! ) she received the Kōdansha Manga Prize in 2012 .
