Emal Gariwal (also Aimal Gariwal ; born May 17, 1986 in Kabul , Afghanistan ) is an Afghan football goalkeeper .

Career

Club career

In 2009 Gariwal moved to Ordu Kabul FC in the Afghanistan Premier League , now the Kabul Premier League . Since 2015 he has also played in the 1st Afghan League for De Abasin Sape . He made his debut on August 28, 2015 in the first group game against Oqaban Hindukush (1-1). After just one point from three games, De Abasin Sape finished last in the group; Gariwal was used in all three games.

National team

For the first time in the national team Gariwal was nominated for the AFC Challenge Cup 2006 , where he remained without use. The goalkeeper was nominated for the AFC Challenge Cup 2008 squad by national coach Mohammad Yousef Kargar in July 2008 . He made his debut on August 1, 2008 in the second group game against Turkmenistan (0: 5), where he was substituted in the course of the game against Shamsuddin Amiri . The tournament ended Afghanistan after three defeats from three games in last place.

Then Gariwal was no longer considered for the national team. He was only nominated again for the last World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Japan (0: 5) on March 24 and Singapore (2: 1) on March 29, 2016. However, he was not used in the two games.
