Band history
The band gained increasing prominence through the release of two albums under the band name 12 Gauge. With the first single, the band won a local competition, the "Battle of the Bands" contest. This was followed by the releases of two more singles and a music video, with which they were very successful in the Canadian country charts. In 1999 the band changed their name to Emerson Drive. The band moved to Nashville, Tennessee for a time to sign a record deal with a record company. Emerson Drive released two albums under the DreamWorks record deal and achieved very good placements in the US and Canadian country music charts. After DreamWorks ran into financial problems in 2005, the band signed a recording contract with Midas Records Nashville, in which the band released several songs and also achieved their first number one placement with the single "Moments". In 2008 Midas Records closed its country music business and the band signed with the record company Valory Music Co. The new album, "Believe", was produced in cooperation with Midas Records.

The band was nominated at many award ceremonies and won at:
In 2002, the band won the Canadian Country Music Association awards for Top New Artist, Group or Duo of the Year, and the Chevy Trucks Rising Star Award.
