Emil Ábrányi (writer)
Emil Ábrányi (born January 1, 1851 in Pest , † May 20, 1920 in Szentendre ) was a Hungarian writer, journalist and opera librettist. He was the son of the composer Kornél Ábrányi and father of the composer and conductor Emil Ábrányi .
Ábrányi wrote several opera texts, some of which his son later set to music. He also translated foreign-language libretti into Hungarian.
