Emil Erwin Gaul (born March 22, 1903 in Nieder-Ingelheim , † September 14, 1969 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) was a German farmer , winemaker and politician ( FDP ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Gaul completed an apprenticeship as an electrician, which he completed with the journeyman's examination. He initially worked in the profession he had learned and later worked as a farmer and winemaker. From 1940 to 1941 and again in 1944 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . Due to his membership in the National Socialist People's Welfare , which he had joined in 1943, he had to undergo a denazification process after the war . The proceedings were discontinued on November 30, 1948 by the public plaintiff of the Bingen district investigative committee . In addition to his professional activity, Gaul was organized in agricultural associations.

Gaul was a co-founder of the FDP in Ingelheim and there from 1952 to 1955 a member of the main committee. From 1952 to 1956 he was chairman of the FDP district association in Bingen. From 1952 he was councilor in Ingelheim, where he was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group, and later a councilor for the city.

Gaul belonged to the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from November 16, 1957, when he replaced the retired MP Fritz-Rudolf Schultz , until 1959. In parliament he was a member of the legal committee.
