Emil Ferdinand Vogel

Emil Ferdinand Vogel (* 1801 in Lobstädt ; † 1852) was a lawyer, philologist and legal historian in Leipzig .

Live and act

Vogel attended the Freiberg grammar school from 1812 and studied at the University of Leipzig from May 1820 , where he was later listed as a teacher - from the winter semester of 1826 to the summer semester of 1851. In 1828 he published De singulari historiae studio, primario verae jurisprudentiae fonte commentatio. as a dissertation to obtain a doctorate in both rights and philosophy as well as a Magister iuris . Vogel worked at the university as a private lecturer in law and philosophy and wrote both legal and historical treatises as well as a biographical sketch about Gottfried Wilhelm v. Leibnitz .
