Emil Králíček

Emil Králíček (born October 11, 1877 in Německý Brod , † 1930 in Prague ) was a Czech architect of Art Nouveau and Cubism

Life

After graduating from school, Králíček worked for the architect Antonín Balšánek . In 1900 he went to Darmstadt , where he worked in Joseph Maria Olbrich's studio . In 1903 he returned to Prague.

Králíček's buildings were determined by classicism , cubism , art nouveau and geometric modernism. The peak of his work was the period between 1904 and 1914. Králíček was unable to build on this phase after the end of the First World War. In 1930 he passed away voluntarily.
