Emil Larsen (born June 22, 1991 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish football player and current scout .

Career

He made his debut for Lyngby BK's first team on matchday one in the Danish second division Larsen on August 9, 2009 in the game against FC Fredericia , when Anders Christiansen came on in the 63rd minute and the winning goal for 2 : 1 scored. He was henceforth a regular player and scored ten goals in another 26 games. In the end, Lyngby BK rose to the Superliga , the first Danish league.

He made his debut in the Superliga on July 19, 2010 in the 2: 4 defeat against Aalborg BK . At the end of the season there was relegation. Larsen contributed to staying up with five goals in 24 games.

From 2012 he played for Odense BK and in early 2016 went to Major League Soccer for the Columbus Crew .

But just six months later he signed a contract with his former club Lyngby BK . The midfielder ended his active career in the summer of 2017 due to persistent knee problems. Since then he has worked as a scout for the club.

National team

Since 2007, Larsen has also played for the Danish national team. Larsen made his debut for Denmark's U-16s on April 8, 2007, when he started in the 3-2 defeat by Georgia and was replaced by Azad Corlu after 64 minutes. His second and final appearance was just two days later when he came on for Rasmus Lynge Christensen in the 41st minute in the 2-2 draw against Portugal.

On July 30, 2007 Larsen made his debut for the Danish U-17 national team in the course of an international tournament. In the game against Belgium, lost on penalties, Larsen was in the starting eleven and was replaced by Kasper Hansen after 43 minutes. For the U-17 he was used in 16 games; he scored a hit. With Denmark, Larsen also took part in qualifying for the 2009 U-17 European Football Championship . The qualifier on March 24, 2008, also against Belgium, his last international match.

Seven months later, Larsen played for the U-18s. He made his debut on October 28, 2008 when he came on for Rasmus Lynge Christensen in the 59th minute in a 1-1 draw against France. Larsen played seven games for the U-18s. He made his last international match on May 1, 2009 when he was in the starting eleven against his contemporaries from Ukraine and was replaced by Martin Braithwaite after 73 minutes.

On August 18, 2009 Larsen played for the U-19 of Denmark for the first time. In the 2-1 win against Hungary, Larsen came on in the 70th minute for Bashkim Kadrii . Larsen appeared in 13 games for the U-19s and scored three goals. Together with the U-19s, Larsen was also active in the failed qualification for the U-19 European Football Championship 2010 (only third place in the "elite round"). The last game in the elite round on May 30, 2010 (3: 4 against Switzerland) was also Larsen's last game for the U-19s.

On August 10, 2011 Larsen played again for a national team after more than a year. That day Larsen made his debut for Denmark's U-21 national team when he was in the starting eleven in the 1-0 defeat against Poland and was substituted on by Christian Sørensen after 65 minutes.

Emil Laursen was nominated for the first time for the senior national team on October 13, 2012 , when national coach Morten Olsen Larsen called for the World Cup qualifier against Italy .
