Emil Stratmann

Emil Stratmann (born December 8, 1881 in Münster , † November 13, 1974 ) was a German painter , graphic artist and illustrator . He learned technical drawing from the architect Aloys Kersting , after which he attended the arts and crafts school in Münster. As a graphic artist and painter, he used the techniques of pen drawing and woodcut to depict motifs from Münster. At the same time, he worked as a graphic artist for the publishing house Aschendorff .

His estate (70 drawings and 14 woodcuts with Münster motifs) is in the Münster City Archives .
