Emilia Bramanti

Emilia Bramanti (born February 29, 1968 in Pietrasanta ) is an Italian biochemist . She works at the Instrumental Analytical Chemistry Lab of the Istituto di Chimica dei Composti Organometallici of the University of Pisa .

Bramanti received her Masters in Life Sciences from the University of Pisa in 1991 and her Ph.D. in chemistry in 1996. Her focus is on clinical chemistry , protein chemistry , environmental chemistry , chromatography , liquid injection techniques and spectroscopy . It has more than 120 publications in these areas.

In 1996 she received the Premio Borsellino and in 2005 the CNR Young Researcher Award . She was a visiting researcher at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Washington / Center for Process Analytical Chemistry (CPAC) - Seattle from 2003 and 2006 to 2008 . There is a cooperation with Seattle and the University of Pisa. Bramanti holds seven patents.
