Emilio Brusa

Emilio Brusa (*  9. September 1843 in Ternate at Como ; †  14 December 1908 in Rome ) was an Italian lawyer in the areas of criminal law as well as heads of state and international law .

Brusa received his doctorate in 1865 at the University of Pavia and from 1871 worked as a lecturer in international law and legal philosophy at the University of Modena . Six years later he became professor of criminal law and criminal procedure law in Amsterdam . In 1880 he returned to Italy and switched to the University of Turin , where, as in Amsterdam, he taught criminal law and criminal procedure law. From 1906 he was a member of the Italian Senate .

Emilio Brusa was a member of the Institut de Droit international from 1877 and headed its 16th meeting in Venice in 1896 .
