Emily Bruni (* 1975 in Exeter ) is a British actress .

Life

Emily Bruni was born in Exeter, Devon in 1975, to an Italian and an Englishwoman. She received her education at Hele's School in Exeter. She was also a member of the Devon Youth Theater and the Exeter Childrens Orchestra in her youth . She learned acting at the renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London .

Emily Bruni appeared on stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company in William Shakespeare 's The Winter's Tale at London's Barbican Theater in 1999 . This performance was captured in a television movie. She made her film debut in 1997 in Remember Me? . She is predominantly cast as an actress in television series such as Holby City , Auf Wiedersehen, Pet , Believe Nothing or Lewis - The Oxford Crime . In 2005, Emily Bruni played Empress Catherine the Great in the British-French-German documentary of the same name.
