Issou is a French municipality with 4100 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and is part of the canton of Limay . The inhabitants call themselves Issoussois .
geography
Issou is located about 45 kilometers west of Paris on the right bank of the Seine . A large part of Issou is part of the Vexin français Regional Nature Park . Issou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guitrancourt in the north, Gargenville in the east, Mézières-sur-Seine in the south and Porcheville in the north-west.
Issou-Porcheville station is on the Paris-Saint-Lazare-Mantes railway line.
