Gargenville is a French municipality with 7467 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Versailles and is part of the canton of Limay . The inhabitants call themselves Gargenvillois .
geography
The city is located about 45 km west of Paris on the right bank of the Seine . Much of Gargenville is part of the Vexin français Regional Natural Park . Gargenville is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Brueil-en-Vexin in the north, Juziers in the east, Aubergenville in the southeast, Épône in the south, Mézières-sur-Seine in the southwest, Issou in the west and Guitrancourt in the northwest.
