Septeuil is a French commune with 2,348 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and the canton of Bonnières-sur-Seine . The inhabitants are called Septeuillais .
geography
Septeuil is located about 14 kilometers south of Mantes-la-Jolie and covers an area of 940 hectares. Neighboring communities are:
- Boinvilliers in the north,
- Rosay in the northeast,
- Arnouville-lès-Mantes in the east,
- Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the southeast,
- Prunay-le-Temple in the south,
- Mulcent in the southwest and
- Courgent to the west.

- The family of Georges Duhamel comes from paternal Septeuil.
