Attractions

Church Saint-Hilaire
  • Church Saint-Hilaire from the 15th century (restored in 1979 and 1999), in 1950 as historique monument classified
  • Oratory of Saint Odo , second abbot of Cluny at the source of the Vaucouleurs; the prayer house was a popular place of pilgrimage until the Second World War (St. Odo is invoked in prayer for rain and against drought)
  • 19th century lavoir
  • Jardin des senteurs , a herb garden next to the source of the Vaucouleurs, is maintained by the community and the residents of Boissets can help themselves here
  • Parc du Douaire

The headwaters of the Vaucouleurs were designed attractively by landscape gardeners. Opposite the oratory, which marks one side, a small weir was built. This created a pond in front of the prayer house that dampens the roar and sprouts water plants. Two small bridges span the spring arms. Forsythias , willows and poplars adorn the complex and provide shade. A handicraft tile picture, designed by the local ceramic association, shows the course of the Vaucouleurs to the mouth and also the churches of all the villages in their valley.
