Mantois

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Mantois is a natural French landscape in the northwest of the department Yvelines , in the region of Ile-de-France referred. It is essentially in the south of the city of Mantes-la-Jolie and was a sub- province of the province of Île-de-France.

The extension of Mantois corresponds to the catchment areas of the Mauldre and the Vaucouleurs , both left tributaries of the Seine . In the north, Mantois borders on the former province of Vexin français and the Seine, in the west on Normandy , in the south on the Forêt de Rambouillet (also known as Forêt d'Yveline ), in the southeast on the landscape and the former sub-province of Hurepoix . To the east, it extends along the Seine valley and borders the greater Paris area . On an administrative level, the extension of the Mantois roughly coincides with the range of the Arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie .
