Bréval is a French commune with 1,820 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and is part of the canton of Bonnières-sur-Seine . The inhabitants are called Brévalois .

Bréval is located about 59 kilometers west-northwest of Paris . Bréval is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Illiers-la-Ville in the north, Perdreauville in the northeast, Ménerville in the east and northeast, Neauphlette in the south, Villiers-en-Désœuvre in the west and Saint-Illiers-le-Bois in the north-west. The station is on the Mantes-la-Jolie – Cherbourg line .
