Prunay-le-Temple is a French municipality with 419 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and the canton of Bonnières-sur-Seine (until 2015: canton of Houdan ). The inhabitants are called Prunaysia .

Prunay-le-Temple is about 48 kilometers west of Paris . Prunay-le-Temple is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Septeuil in the north, Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the northeast, Orgerus in the east and southeast, Tacoignières in the south, Richebourg in the southwest, Orvilliers in the west and Mulcent in the northwest.
