Ecquevilly is a French municipality with 4259 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and the canton of Les Mureaux . The inhabitants are called Ecquevillois .

Ecquevilly is located in the Seine valley . Ecquevilly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Mureaux in the north, Chapet in the east and northeast, Morainvilliers in the east and southeast, Les Alluets-le-Roi in the south, Bazemont in the southwest and Bouafle in the west and northwest.
The A13 autoroute runs through the municipality .
