Morainvilliers is a French commune with 2,930 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . Morainvilliers belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and the canton of Verneuil-sur-Seine (until 2015: Poissy-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Morainvillois .
geography
Morainvilliers is about 35 kilometers west-northwest of Paris . Morainvilliers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chapet in the north, Vernouillet and Médan in the north-east, Orgeval in the east and south-east, Les Alluets-le-Roi in the south and south-west and Ecquevilly in the west and north-west.
The A13 autoroute and the former Route nationale 13 (today's D113) run through the municipality .
