history

Le Pecq was first mentioned in the year 704 in a document of the Frankish King Childebert III. mentioned. However, Le Pecq only gained greater fame in 1837, when the first railway line in France between Paris and Le Pecq was inaugurated by Queen Maria Amalia of Naples-Sicily . Since then, many Parisians have visited Le Pecq to escape the noisy city.

Le Pecq has been able to retain some of its charm to this day and is a popular travel destination , especially due to its close proximity to Saint-Germain-en-Laye , the historic birthplace of Louis XIV , and the palace complexes of Versailles .
