In the 17th century in the style of Louis XIII. Tilly Castle, with its park and the avenues of lime trees leading to it, is particularly valued as the Inscrit Monument Historique and Site Inscrit as a historical and scenic heritage. The former moat is dry today. The rectangular building is flanked by two round towers. In the courtyard , which is cordoned off by a gate, there are replicas of the cannons that George Washington gave to Admiral François Joseph Paul, Marquis of Grasse Tilly, as a thank you to Count von Grasse for his role in the American Revolutionary War . The replicas are a gift from the USA on the occasion of the bicentenary of American independence in 1976. The originals were melted down during the French Revolution.
The church consecrated to the Holy Virgin from the 16th century was the new building of its predecessor from the 12th century. Next to the Gothic nave is a square tower with a pyramid-shaped roof. The heart of Admiral von Grasse is kept in an urn, and an inscription bears the names of the Admiral's descendants.
