Emily Roberts (born May 21, 1993 in Hamburg ) is a German - British singer-songwriter .

Career

Roberts plays guitar and wrote her first songs at the age of 15. By their own admission, their first song was a break-up song that came from their own experiences.

In 2015 their first EP Lion's Heart was released . She first became known musically when she took part in a discount store's Christmas commercial in 2016. She sang the song #santaclara , written by 2WEI . In 2018 her first album Crying Over Spilled Milk was released .

In 2019 her cover of Bitter Sweet Symphony , which she released together with the DJ duo Gamper & Dadoni , was 13 weeks in the German and 21 weeks in the Austrian airplay charts and even reached gold status there.

In mid-2019 she signed a record deal with RCA Germany . The first release there was her song In This Together , written by Roberts with Patrick Salmy, Ricard Munoz and Thomas Steengaard. In This Together in 2020 the title song of the 14th season of the RTL show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! .
