2WEI (pronounced two) is a composer group that was founded by Simon Heeger and Christian Vorländer . Their company address is in Hamburg , they also have another office in Venice Beach , California . Their music is used in both advertising and film trailers .

history

The two composers met in Enschede while you were both studying music there. After completing his studies, Christian Vorländer started working for Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL in Los Angeles . During this time, Simon Heeger was employed by various advertising music companies such as Mophonics and Yessian . After Christian Vorländer returned to Germany , the two founded 2WEI at the end of 2015 to combine their experience from film and advertising . For the 2017 G20 summit in Hamburg, the two of them worked with a neighboring creative agency to paint a huge peace sign on their roof terrace . The company's headquarters were within the restricted zone established for the G20 summit .

The film trailers that were musically supported by the group include Wonder Woman , Tolkien and Tomb Raider .

advertising

Her music has already been used in the advertising industry by Audi , Lidl , Lufthansa and Mercedes . Other companies with which 2WEI has already worked include Fila , Porsche and BMW . For the restructuring of the Spiegel website in January 2020, the duo also contributed the music for a suitable image video.

Video games

In addition to film trailers and music for the advertising industry , music has also been composed for video games , for example for the trailer of the Ubisoft game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint . In January 2020 the developers of League of Legends , Riot Games , released a cinematic trailer with a reinterpretation of the song Warriors by the band Imagine Dragons . This reinterpretation was composed and contributed by 2WEI.
