Emir Krajišnik

Emir Krajišnik (* 1954 in Banja Luka ) is a painter, sculptor and video artist. From 1975 to 1980 he studied at the Art School in Belgrade . He has lived in Sweden since 1991 .

He has been running a gallery in Gävle since 1992 , where he also received a grant from the city and some of his sculptures can be seen in public spaces. In addition to various exhibitions in Gävle and Stockholm , an exhibition of his works was also shown in the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris in 2003 . He also took part in the international sculpture symposia in 2000, the Forma Viva , in Portorož ( Slovenia ) and in 2004 in Volterra ( Italy ).

In addition to his work as a visual artist, he also works as a videographer. He produced several short films in DVCAM format, for example the short film Getterna i Maléas in 2002 .
