Emmanuel Mathias (born April 3, 1986 in Kaduna ) is a Nigerian soccer player with a Togolese passport.

Mathias learned to play soccer in the youth department of the Nigerian club BCC Lions . In 2004, the defender moved to the top Togolese club Étoile Filante de Lomé , at the same time he received Togolese citizenship. Shortly afterwards the talent was invited to the Togo national team, for which he made his debut on March 27, 2005 against Mali in the World Cup qualification .

As a right-back, he played two other World Cup qualifiers, including the important 2-2 draw in Senegal. By the end of 2005 he had a total of five internationals and scored one goal for Les Eperviers . He was also in the squad for the 2006 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

In June 2005 Mathias moved on to the nineteen-time Tunisian champion Espérance Tunis . There he signed a contract until 2009.
